DENVER - A trip across the authentic
USA When you think of America you always recall New York City chaos, California sunsets or Miami nightlife. But the true United States are less crowded, calmer and have amazing natural landscapes. I was lucky enough to discover part of it in Colorado, precisely in Denver.
Denver is more relaxed, people are more relaxed. They want to chat, to exchange opinions with you. Denver is called the “Mile-High City”, because it’s 1,609 metres over the sea level, which is exactly a mile! This altitude created the rocky mountains of the Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre.
Inside the city of Denver you cannot miss Union Station, that looks more like a museum or a retrò store. Inside the station you also find nice restaurants, a hotel lobby, a flower shop and art installations.
If you are looking for a unique souvenir I recommend Rockmount Ranch Wear. A historic shop established in 1946 where you can buy cool hats and handmade shirts. All the products are 100% made in the USA. Last but not least, I suggest to eat at Urban Farmer where you can find amazing local plates and a super cool neon David Bowie sign.
