Angkor Wat
The majestic temples of Angkor Wat are at the top of tourists’ to do list whilst travelling in Cambodia.
Holding the title of the world’s largest religious monument, glorious Angkor Wat is a spectacle to be seen whatever time of the day.
However, getting there to watch the sunrise behind the temple is a pretty special experience.
The Markets
Cambodia is a country filled with markets.
One of its most famous is located in the capital of Phnom Penh. The Central Market, which is housed in a beautiful Art-Deco building, is the most spacious and cleanest market in Phnom Penh.
A few days around the Tatai River
The Tatai River meanders through the Cardamom Mountains, for the most part with a gentle flow that belies its 20-metre depth, and in some places with a thunderous roar as the riverbed drops away to form cascading waterfalls. A beautiful place to unwind from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Kayaking along Kampot River
Hiring a kayak and lazily making your way along the network of tributaries and waterways off Kampot River comes with many rewards. Kayak through mangroves and pristine countryside and past small fishing communities and temples to get a glimpse of rural Cambodian living and be amid calming nature.
Phnom Penh from above
There’s something truly special about watching a city twinkling below. Thanks to the recent addition of Rosewood Phnom Penh to the capital’s hotel scene, the city can now be viewed from sky high. Perched on the 37th floor of the 39-storey Vattanac Capital Tower is the five-star hotel’s Sora skybar, which offers unparalleled panoramic views across the rising capital and beyond.
